UOL received three awards at the prestigious Community Chest Awards 2023, which was graced by the Singapore President, Mr Tharman Shanmugaratnam, at The Istana on 25 October 2023.

UOL Group Chief Executive Liam Wee Sin said: “It is a great honour for UOL to receive the Charity Platinum and Volunteer Partner Awards, coinciding with our 60^th anniversary year and the 40^th year of Community Chest. Our partnership with Community Chest can make a difference in helping to uplift those in need and provide opportunities for all to build an inclusive society. This is possible only with the generosity of our staff in volunteerism and our long-term partnership with Community Chest, as well as our Corporate Communications’ initiative to be an early mover in the partnership with Community Chest.”

At the awards ceremony, UOL was also recognised as a Pioneer Partner of Change for coming onboard the Change for Charity initiative. Through the malls’ U-POPP loyalty programme, UOL empowered its shoppers to convert their points into cash donations, thereby fostering a culture of positive change.

Over the years, UOL has been contributing in the areas of children, youth, education, sports and the arts. In 2022 and 2023, the Group stepped up on its effort to promote inclusivity in the sports and arts arena in particular. It also continued to organise staff volunteering activities to engage the young and senior beneficiaries, giving its staff opportunities to contribute meaningfully as well.

These accolades reaffirm the Group’s commitment in doing good, serving as a source of motivation to drive it further in creating a positive impact in the local communities.
